Leak Detection/Dyes

The causes of major and repeat compressor failure are associated with insufficient or lack of refrigerant. Failure to correct leaks at the source will quickly fail replacement compressors. The use of refrigerant dye greatly assists in confirming the leak location for both active and passive leaks.

Refrigeration dye must be SAE approved.

ACDelco dye is approved by all OEM compressor manufacturers. Best service practices recommend cleaning dye trace after the repair from service sites with proper chemicals.
