ACDelco and all OEM manufacturers recommend the use of PAG oil ONLY. Use of ester oil will void the ACDelco warranty.
All PAG oils are not equal. ACDelco PAG meets or exceeds OEM and compressor manufacturers' specifications. This includes viscosity, additives, and type.
System lubrication amount is critical. See Oil Balancing Information.
Failure to balance system oil may lead to premature compressor replacement failure.
PAG oil is hydroscopic. Exposure of open lubricant containers to atmosphere for prolonged periods will contaminate the oil with moisture.
Systems that have been contaminated by sealants may require replacement of receiver dryer/accumulator and/or refrigerant flushing.

525 SAE mineral oil is universal for all R-12 systems. It is also recommended for lubrication of R-134a O-rings.
